Project Description

This project was created for CTIN 452 Themed Entertainment Design at USC, taught by Joe Garlington and Larry GertzDr. Victoria’s House of BITES is an educational dining experience teaching the fun of gastronomy and encouraging guests to play with their food. Dr. Victoria has been rejected from every major research facility because of her hijinks, so she converted her Victorian home into a gastronimcal laboratory. Junior scientists experiment, creating their food right at their table with the guidance of a lab assistant. Drawing inspiration from hibachi style restaurants, Dr. Victoria’s brings interactivity to the dinner table in a new way.

My Contributions

Working in a team of five people of differing skillsets, I took part in creating and giving a pitch to themed entertainment professionals of our project that demonstrated understanding of the guest experience, the story of the attraction, and the business associated with creating viable attractions. The story was created collaboratively. I designed the floor plan considering square footage and egress, and the dining tables with built in grills, 3D dessert printers, and interactive touchscreen tabletops.
