Project Type:
Escape Theater Experience Concept created for CTIN 452 Themed Entertainment Design at USC, taught by Joe Garlington and Larry Gertz
Project Description:
Hotel California is based on the classic Eagles song. The master of the hotel, Tracy Morice fell into madness after his pursuit of the American dream caused him to lose his daughter. He now seeks to trap the starry eyed fools who believe in the American dream by inviting them to his ritzy hotel where they become prisoners of their own device. You can check out anytime you like, but can you ever leave?
My Contributions:
Working with four team members, I created and gave a pitch demonstrating an understanding of the guest experience and the story of the attraction. I contributed to writing the story and creating the gameplay elements. I created personas for the live actors, giving them backstories and motivations to dictate how they interact with guests.
